Know what my problem is? I have no ambition. I think about lots of things I want or want to do. But I have zero drive to do anything to achieve them...no matter how much I want them.
Here's a list:
- to lose weight - something I truly want, but every time I start I fall back to my usual habits again, so lately my drive to try again is not happening right now
- to be a photographer - I think I have some raw skills here, but no drive to do anything about it
- to have a non-desk job - this probably relates to the above, but I don't have the drive to figure out a plan to get anything other than the familiar, comfortable desk job
- to be less lazy - you see the conundrum here
- to be a runner - again, obvious
- to finish this list - it involves way too much thought and I don't feel like doing it
Any ideas? Any known remedy in an easy-to-take form? Anyone volunteer to fix this for me?
:)

It's a tough conundrum to be in. My advice (worth what you paid for it...) is to focus on one of the less daunting goals and see it to fruition. Once you've reasonably attained that goal, move on to the next one, etc. Who knows, this could have a snowball effect and allow you to accomplish more and more as you achieve each goal.
Or so the theory goes...
Well, that's a good theory...but I still don't have any motivation to do any of it...no matter the size of the "goal". I don't care to try.
I think this might be a foreign concept to everybody who reads this as I seem to be the only person in the world who has zero motivation...and is just letting her life be completely wasted.
But thanks for taking the time to offer advice.
The advice wasn't original. It's from that old 'religion' of mine - the Dave Ramsey money thing? He says to tackle debt that way. By paying off small debts first, then moving up to the harder things to pay off. The momentum is supposed to create that snowball effect.
But I don't practice what I preach in debt reduction or motivation... So, like I said, the advice is worth what you paid for it. :P
i keep checking back to see if you get an answer to this question cause boy could i use a kick in the seat too....i find that i am excellent at making lists of things i want to do and lists of ways to accomplish those goals...maybe one or two points might actually get done and i end up making new lists and/or loosing lists....
