Most of you know that I do the online dating thing on and off. And on and off again. I thought that I kept doing it out of desperation of no dates. That seems like a natural conclusion, right?
Well, after thinking about it (and having signed up yet again for one of them), I really think it's a form of entertainment for me. It's my own personal dating game. I'm past the point where I believe I'll meet someone on there. Now I just do it for the thrills. Will he reject me? Will I reject him? What's next? It's also pretty good blog fodder when the date is exceptionally weird (see the tale of the Blue Bear Boy).
And OK...it's a little out of desperation. Anybody know any good single men?

You certainly have had some interesting experiences with your Dating Game over the years. Someday, though, you'll meet a good one. I just know it.
To quote Wayne Campbell: "Yeah, and monkeys might fly out of my butt."
Who would be your ideal man??
That's a good question....I'm not sure.
I guess he needs to make me laugh, laugh at me, and have a decent intellect. He should be warm and caring and want children. He would enjoy listening to my opinion as I would his.
And if he was a millionaire that'd be great too. :)
I met my hubby that on match.com two months after I joined. Like True Life Dating though, I think it's a craps shoot. Bon chance!
Annette...it's good to know somebody had some luck on Match!! :)
I think the internet is an excellent way of choosing your ideal match - my sister in law and some of my friends have all met over the web and are all happily married now with kids. If you are choosing someone for a job - you read their application form and resume first, then select them for an interview, if successful they have a probationary period - it makes complete sense to do the same when choosing a partner for the rest of your days.It also sounds like great fun!
Join as many sites as you can , the perfect person is out there - you just have to keep looking xx
I am in the 'trying to figure out boys game' as well. Think it's time to buy a book. And if it's useless, I can always just hit them over the head with it if they cheese me off.
Great blog, by the way. You're v. funny! I will have to make it a daily stop.
DebbieLou...I started out thinking that about online dating, but after several years it feels more like an auction house. Guys always wanting to bid on the next great offer.
Ms_h....thanks! I'm glad you enjoy my blog. I defintely enjoy yours. And I really like your book idea. I could think of a few I'd like to have hit with a book....
