Clueless

Yesterday I had a dentist appointment. I've been to this dentist every six months for several years and I always go at 1:00 to take a long lunch. So, I know that they lock their doors over the lunch hour. Knowing this, I still get there a little early and just sit in my car and wait for them to unlock the doors. No big hassle and I can listen to "Oprah and Friends" on my XM radio.

As I listened to the radio I watched people start showing up at the office and go in the first set of doors and realize that the office door is locked and just stand around and wait. There are now about five people waiting in the inner doors for the office to open when a group of three 20-somethings walk up to the door. They walk inside and one of the guys starts pulling repeatedly on the handle of the door (even though there's a bunch of people waiting around and a sign on the door that said they were closed until 1:00). He wasn't doing it to joke around. He was seriously trying to get in.

I had to laugh. What was this guy thinking? There are no other businesses to enter that these people would be waiting for, so he must have thought they were all dumb and hadn't tried the door yet. How clueless could he possibly be? Sometimes people amaze (and amuse) me.
