I took the past two days off from work. I just needed a few days where I wasn't dealing with the idiocy of the job I'm currently in. Truth be told I need much longer than two days. I hit my seven monthiversary in this position last week (and five whole years with the same company), so that means in "only" five more months I can apply for another job in Behemouth. I can't wait. I would like to go back to the downtown division. I miss the people, the professionalism, my walking buddy, the parking ramp, etc.
The problem is...I'm not sure there'll be anything for me to apply for there. I may have to settle for another division near my current office (a.k.a. the elementary school). There are two large locations nearby that probably have much better options. Or at least they aren't almost solely a call center environment.
Anyway...as I sit her pondering this, all I can think about tomorrow is, "DON'T MAKE ME GO BACK TOMORROW!"

Hooray for 2 days off! But yeah, coming back is rough. I miss downtown too sometimes - it is so much more vibrant.
I am sure that the 5 months will go quickly - it doesn't seem 2 minutes ago since we had Christmas and that was nearly 4 months ago!!

Well, funny enough these past two days at work have been like cramming those two days off INTO the two days back as well.
BUT...I got an interview for a job I applied for outside the company. So...things are looking up. :)
