Well, it's been a week. A week without Del. I'll admit...it's been lonely. It's been tough. I hear noises and think of him. I miss having him sleep next to me. I miss hearing him purr. But with all that, I thought I'd write down a few things about Del that made him Del. Funny things, weird things, cute things, etc. Enjoy.
- He had the bluest eyes I've ever seen on a cat.

- His eyes vibrated. I've never seen that before.
- He loved to lick those plastic sacks you get at Target or Walmart.
- He liked people food. Chicken, fish, milk, cheese, crackers, corn chex, frosted flakes, nacho cheese sauce, etc. Pretty much everything I ate he wanted with one exception. He wouldn't even touch gravy of a frozen Healthy Choice meal. Probably tells me something about that gravy.
- He didn't like children.
- He didn't like dogs.
- He didn't like other cats.
- He was afraid of mice.
- He liked to sit on his blue chair and look out the window.
- He loved to sit on my chest and stare at me.
- Before he lived with me he lived with my BFF. One night I stayed over and woke up because he'd decided to sleep on my throat. (He clearly knew I was an easy mark even back then)
- He would bite me if I cried. Any time I'd be watching Extreme Makeover Home Edition I had to make sure he wouldn't see me cry or he'd bite me. Either he thought that would make me feel better or it annoyed him...who knows.
- He had a fondness for my black clothes.
- He would wake me up by gently nudging me with his paw on my arm (this sounds cute, but it was highly annoying at 4 a.m.).
- He showed his approval of people by headbutting them in the leg or foot.
- If you scratched his back in certain spots he'd start licking (himself or just the air).
Well, that's just a few of the things I jotted down. There are more, but I don't want to bore you. Many of the things were special just to me, I realize. And I treasure those memories. He was a great cat. I don't think I'll ever know another like him. And that was my Del.
